There are many unique and wonderful dining opportunities in Noosa and The Noosa Hinterland. We would like to share with you our favorites though there are sooo more to chose from.
In the Hinterland
A short 10-15 minute drive from Rosecliffe Boutique Farm Cottages will take you to the villages of Kin Kin, Pomona and Cooran and these dining options:
The Kin Kin General Store is a local favorite. There chef Jodi Williams offers a true paddock to plate menu ground a range of meat on her own farm. You can also buy local produce from her fridges and shelves. The old Kin Kin General Store and has allot of charm and inside you will see a number of local historical photos of Jodi’s family on the wall as they have resided in the hinterland for a number of generations. Outside there is a pizza bar area where you can watch Brett cook your wood-fired pizza and chat about local goings on. If you are lucky enough to be there on a BBQ night you will be in for a major treat! Personally it is the best I have ever had. http://www.blackantgourmet.com.au/
The Hinterland Restaurant, Cooran offers fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere. The food is seasonal and divine. Set in the old butchery at atmosphere is charming. http://hinterlandrestaurant.com.au/
In Pomona we like Serges Pizza & Pasta BYO with weekend live dinner music & candle lit tables https://www.facebook.com/ManniesPizzaPasta/ and Pomona Chinese Restaurant 14 Reserve St, Pomona for excellent authentic Cantonese food.
A 20 minute scenic drive away is the family friendly Apollonian Hotel (pictured) . The historic Apollonian Hotel was constructed in the heyday of the 1870’s Gympie Gold Rush and is set in the picturesque village of Boreen Point on the shores of Lake Cootharaba. It sits on 3 1/2 acres surrounded by rainforest gardens, waving palms and rolling lawns, the Apollonian Hotel shows the charm and elegance of colonial past with its wide, cool verandas and open fireplaces. This is a beautiful child and pet friendly pub with weekend life music and a Sunday spit roast. Children play out in the grass and you will hear much laughter here. The daily menu is also good. https://www.theapollonianhotel.com/
In Noosaville we recommend Maisies Seafood & Steak Restaurant built in 1920 by Pattermore and Cash for Jiddy Massoud, Maisie’s Seafood & Steakhouse was originally run by the Massoud family as a café – the first of its kind in the district. It is waterfront and the food is wonderful! We especially love their seafood platter that we believe is exceptional. https://www.maisies.com.au/
In Noosa’s Hastings Street we love Locale‘s exceptional fine dining and gorgeous atmosphere, Rococo’s charming alfresco dining exceptional food, extensive wine cellar and live music, Bistro C & Seasons Restaurants with their stunning views of Noosa Main Beach and delicious food and an old favorite Cafe Le Monde with live late afternoon music and amazing food that never lets us down.
