Noosa & Noosa Hinterland Dining

 

There are many unique and wonderful dining opportunities in Noosa and The Noosa Hinterland. We would like to share with you our favorites though there are sooo more to chose from.

In the Hinterland

A short 10-15 minute drive from Rosecliffe Boutique Farm Cottages will take you to the villages of Kin Kin, Pomona and Cooran and these dining options:

Kin Kin

The Kin Kin General Store is a local favorite. There chef Jodi Williams offers a true paddock to plate menu ground a range of meat on her own farm. You can also buy local produce from her fridges and shelves. The old Kin Kin General Store and has allot of charm and inside you will see a number of local historical photos of Jodi’s family on the wall as they have resided in the hinterland for a number of generations. Outside there is a pizza bar area where you can watch Brett cook your wood-fired pizza and chat about local goings on. Cooran

The Hinterland Restaurant, Cooran offers fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere. The food is seasonal and divine. Set in the old butchery at atmosphere is charming. http://hinterlandrestaurant.com.au/

Noosa Hinterland Brewing Co., an independent family-owned microbrewery. Choose from a range of eight different beer styles that change regularly. The brewery is in a heritage listed building, having operated as Alfredson’s joinery in its time. It makes a for a unique setting to savour a beer and a bite to eat. Light meals and share plates are available all day with a menu designed to match your beer of choice.Because it’s an operating brewery, we are open to the public Thurs to Sun from 12. Pomona

Pomona Distilling Co – a locally owned, small-batch distillery, bistro & bar nestled at the foothills of Pomona’s Mt Cooroora.  This super family friendly restaurant has the most wonderful atmosphere, delicious food and sublime gin cocktails. They offer four hand crafted spirits, including a Signature Dry Gin, Pink Gin, Butterfly Pea Flower Gin and their Vodka that are beautifully bottled and available for purchase. https://pomonadistilling.com.au/ 

Boreen Point

A 20 minute scenic drive away is the family friendly Apollonian Hotel (pictured) . The historic Apollonian Hotel was constructed in the heyday of the 1870’s Gympie Gold Rush and is set in the picturesque village of Boreen Point on the shores of Lake Cootharaba. It sits on 3 1/2 acres surrounded by rainforest gardens, waving palms and rolling lawns, the Apollonian Hotel shows the charm and elegance of colonial past with its wide, cool verandas and open fireplaces. This is a beautiful child and pet friendly pub with weekend life music and a Sunday spit roast. Children play out in the grass and you will hear much laughter here. Elanda Point

CootharaBar 

CootharaBAR & bistro is located at Habitat Noosa Everglades Ecocamp awarded Australia’s Best New Tourism Business.  Set amongst 65 acres of National Park, the lakeside location with stunning views of Lake Cootharaba and it’s natural surrounds.The extensive Bistro menu boasts fresh locally sourced produce, from the region. It is the perfect paddock to plate experience and features inside and outdoor alfresco dining areas. Our Micro Brewery offers up to 8 artesian beers onsite. The water utilised in our beer is sourced directly from the Artesian Basin and filtered through sand and gravel for over 75 years before reaching us. The end result is a completely natural beer containing no preservatives, additives or flavours.

Noosaville

Maisies Seafood & Steak Restaurant built in 1920 by Pattermore and Cash for Jiddy Massoud, Maisie’s Seafood & Steakhouse was originally run by the Massoud family as a café – the first of its kind in the district. Noosa Heads 

In Noosa’s Hastings Street we love Locale‘s exceptional fine dining and gorgeous atmosphere, Rococo’s charming alfresco dining exceptional food, extensive wine cellar and live music, Bistro C & Seasons Restaurants with their stunning views of Noosa Main Beach and delicious food and an old favorite Cafe Le Monde with live late afternoon music and amazing food that never lets us down. If you love oysters Thursday night is fresh shucked $1 oyster night and there is half a chance you will see us there!
