Noosa National Park is the most visited national park in Australia, and there are very good reasons for this. To get there you can take a beautiful walk along the boardwalk from Hastings Street, or drive out to the National Park's Headland.
The National Park greets you with a number of trail options. The coastal walks give exquisite views of the Coral Sea extending to the Noosa Hinterland and the coloured sands of Noosa North Shore (for your reference, the cone-shaped mountain in the distance is Mount Pinbarren, where Rosecliffe Farm Cottages is located).
There are dramatic waves crashing on rocky cliffs, canopies of pandanus palms, secluded white sandy beaches, world-class surfing, and if you look up you may see a resident koala.
The Fairy Pools are just divine. To get there, go to the far end of Granite Bay, you will notice a park bench as the track turns right around a large bend. Once you leave the track, you'll have to scramble down the rocks to find the rock pools below. Now all you have to do is choose your fairy pool (yes, there are two!) and enjoy. Deeper into the park you'll pass banksias, she-oaks and giant kauri pines. There is an information centre and picnic area with electric BBQs at the entry.
