Noosa North Shore to Double Island Point Lighthouse

From Rosecliffe Boutique Farm Cottages,  Noosa North Shore Ferry is about a 35 minute drive. The ferry runs all day. From there to get to Double Island Point is about a 30 kilometer 4WD up the beach. You will enter Cooloola National Park and pass the amazing colored sands including Red Canyon. For fisherman you will have opportunities to collect worms and pippies for bait. Fishing is excellent in the gutters found along the beach. ( Tip – Plan your trip around low tide). Between June – July then Sept- October keep a lookout for humpback whales in their migration route. At Double Island Point take the trail up to the lighthouse where the views are exceptional. Look out for turtles, dolphins and whales. At the base of the trial there is a wonderful beach for lounging, picnicking, surfing, swimming ( no life guard) and fishing.  You can also take the 4WD cutting to Rainbow Beach. There are many 4WD and hiking options in Cooloola National Park. See https://www.npsr.qld.gov.au/parks/cooloola/ for maps and more information
