Hike or Mountain Bike - Noosa Trail Network

Rosecliffe Farm Cottages is positioned directly on the Noosa Trail Network's Trails 2 and 3, wonderful for hiking and mountain bike riding, with spectacular Noosa Hinterland views and linking into our bordering Woondum National Park.

Follow the trail down Ewarts Road, our access point, for amazing early morning and evening colours and views. Be sure to look up as you may see a majestic Wedge-tailed Eagle, the endangered Red Goshawk, flocks of Double-barred Finches and, overhead on the power lines, the beautiful Rainbow Bee-eaters.

Look down into Upper Pinbarren Creek, where you can sometimes see our resident platypus families. On clear, moonless nights this walk will give you a panoramic and dramatic view of the stars.

In the Rosecliffe Conservation Area forest section you can see pademelons, red-necked wallabies, goannas, echidnas and many rainforest birds, and at night between August and September, sometimes fireflies.

Follow the trail along the Rosecliffe Farm Cottages border heading south-west and you will be greeted with changing panoramic views leading up to James McKane Lookout. Go just a little further and you will be in beautiful Woondum National Park, which hosts a healthy koala population.

Follow this link for the Noosa Trail Network brochure, copies of which are also supplied in the cottages. Additional information can be found at the Noosa Biosphere Trails page.
